and Communication Technology Literacy Test ©
2008 ETS (Educational Testing Services)
- measures your students’ ability to navigate,
critically evaluate and make sense of the wealth of
information available through digital technology — so you can
make the necessary changes to narrow skill gaps
- is the only ICT literacy test that assesses
critical thinking in the digital environment
- tests the range of ICT literacy skills aligned
with nationally recognized Association of
College and Research Libraries (ACRL) standards
- helps you identify where further curriculum
development is needed so students have the ICT literacy skills
they need to succeed.
ETS (Educational Testing
Services): "ETS develops
and administers the SAT® and the Advanced Placement ProgramTM.
. . . ETS is a private, nonprofit organization devoted to
educational measurement and research, primarily through testing. We develop
and administer millions of achievement and admissions tests each year in the
U.S. and 180 other countries. Our headquarters are located in Lawrenceville,
New Jersey (with a Princeton, New Jersey, mailing address). We also have
offices in California, Florida, Puerto Rico, Texas, and Washington."
Project
Sails - SAILS is the Standardized
Assessment of Information Literacy Skills. It is a knowledge test with
multiple-choice questions targeting a variety of information literacy
skills. The test items are based on the ACRL
Information Literacy Competency Standards for Higher Education. Project
SAILS is located at Kent State University in Kent, Ohio. The cost of
participation for 2007-2008 is $3.00 per
student up to a cap of $2,000 per administration.*
Fees are calculated once a school
finishes testing and are based on actual numbers
of students completing the test.
