Open access resources are digital materials of all types that are made freely available to use, distribute, and modify. Open access resources are either released into the public domain or under a license that permits their free use, such as a Creative Commons License.

Creative Commons Licenses are sets of licenses that allow you to share your work for free while still maintaining control over how the work is shared. Although not required, most open resources are released under a Creative Commons License.
