Very Short Introductions (VSIs)

From Oxford Academic Press, Very Short Introductions “offer concise and original introductions to a wide range of subjects.” This is an extensive series encompassing hundreds of volumes, and each volume is a factual, analytical and insightful exploration of a single topic area. Broad topic areas include: Arts and Humanities, Law, Medicine and Health, Science and Mathematics, and Social Sciences. The Trocaire Library currently owns 129 volumes from this remarkable series, and will be purchasing many more VSI titles in the near future.

All library materials in the Reading Room may be freely used in the Library, and if you are a Trocaire student, faculty or staff member, you may also check out any of the materials as needed. Please note that some of the Medical Review Texts have limited seven-day loan periods.
