The Bloomberg Video Collection is a curated set of educational videos and QuickTakes covering current topics of importance today.

Films on Demand
A database that hosts documentaries, educational and skill videos. Subjects include: Hospitality, Nursing, Imaging, Anatomy, Human Resources, and Theban Plays (Sophocles)

JOMI
JOMI provides surgical procedures offering incision-to-closure, long-form, high-quality, surgeon-narrated didactic experiences. JOMI is used by surgical technologists, and other health-related professionals to help them prepare for cases and learn about advances in surgical procedures. Most of JOMI content is focused on general surgery, orthopaedics, orthopaedic trauma, neurosurgery, and head and neck surgery.

Important: You must create an account to use this database:
  • When you click on “click here” it will take you to JOMI
  • On “Create an Account”, fill in your information
    • You MUST use your Trocaire email to create your account
  • Click “Create Account”
  • At the Institutional screen, type in Trocaire College
  • Select the “User Type” from the menu
  • Click on the green “Create Account” button
  • Once you create an account, the next time you visit the site, “sign in” is on the top right corner of the website

Nursing Assessment DVD
Created exclusively for Trocaire nursing students, this video covers maternal assessment, pediatric assessment, and newborn characteristics and reflexes. To view the video, log in with your Trocaire Moodle username and password.

Tubi (OPEN)
Tubi is a free streaming service including documentaries. Click on Browse to see all the genres Tubi has to offer.

Vimeo (OPEN)
Vimeo hosts many Creative Commons videos. Search for a video on your topic, and then select More Filters on the left. You’ll then be able to limit your results by CC license. If the original uploader has allowed it, these videos will include an option to download. There is a section on documentaries.
